Early morning family/maternity session

A bit of a grey start to the day on Saturday, no glorious sunrise like we have had all week. But we did have some fun until it got too cold for both the little girls, and we headed back to their house for some more maternity shots.

Playing with light

Mini Lighting Workshop with Alicia and Alex from Savvy Studios. It was a great introduction to using video light, OCF and using existing lights like street lamps, hotel lights etc. It was just too short and I want to do more… these were taken in the foyer of Hotel Ibis… now I am on the constant look out for great artifical lighting.

Baby Max {sydney newborn photographer}

Meet 10 day old Max, he’s so adorable. Took us a while to get him to sleep, but so worth it!! Will be in touch next week C & G!

reflections, shadows and a little blur

Went into the city today to pick up a new lens. So took a few shots on the way home to the ferry. Nearly finished proofing the wedding I did in Vancouver, so hopefully I will share some of the photobooth pics very soon, it was so much fun!

Selina {sydney portrait photographer}

In early may I met up with photography friends Lee and Kelly to photograph Selina for her model portfolio. We had so much fun exploring the Rocks, playing with OCF (off camera flash) as well as natural light. Hopefully Selina did too!

Nice to be back home

After a fab trip to Vancouver, UK and Toyko. Now I have hundreds of photos to go through of my trip and thats not counting the wedding ones, which I am now working this week.

And manly beach last night..

Vancouver - the wedding

Haven’t had much internet time recently, which is a good thing!! Now at heathrow airport waiting for my flight to Japan… Had a lovely few days catching up with family and friends..

Finally some pics of my friends Cindy and Scott’s wedding. They flew me to Vancouver from Sydney to photograph their wedding, how amazing was that, and it was so lovely to be there too!!

What a gorgeous wedding, Cindy looked amazing, such a fantastic day, well it started off sunny and ended up cloudy, no rain what-so-ever, I’ve been told it rains all the time in Vancouver, don’t believe it for a minute!!

Big thank you to Alanna, for coming along to help me during the day and also to Stace to help out near the end! Was fantastic meeting you guys, hope we can meet up soon one day.

and here are the pics…

Getting ready - always my favourite part of a wedding.

The church - the cermony was at St Augustine Church

The bus - some fun ones on the bus to the pub and reception

The reception - at the Cecil Green Park House.

Vancouver - 2

Been so lucky with the weather, yesterday wasn’t looking promising but ended up being a gorgeous afternoon/evening. I just wandered into downtown to get something to eat and then ended up walking all the way to Deadman’s Island so I could get a view of Vancouver.

Loved the reflections around Canada Place and there were a couple of cruise ships about to leave.

A bit of graffiti

Stanley park.

And finally a few interesting details from Granville Island, would be a great place for a photo shoot.

Vancouver - 1

Vancouver BC. You know what I love about Vancouver, the fantastic reflections of the modern buildings, and so many of them. I love the abstract designs of them. Heres a few…
